Hi there,

Firstly, thank you for your continued support and feedback, which helps us make Bytespree better for everyone.

On Monday, November 20, 2023, we'll be shipping a brand-new release of Bytespree. You don't have to do anything; we'll handle the update for you.

Curious about what's changing? We have two features and some bug fixes to share!

New Functionality

Expanded Database Support: Bytespree now supports the Snowflake database server, both in Data Lake and Studio. This integration aims to streamline your data management and analysis processes.

Enhanced Server Flexibility: For teams managing multiple servers, Bytespree introduces the ability to transfer databases between servers.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements

  • MSSQL publishers now create temporary tables within a dedicated "bytespree" schema on the MSSQL server.
  • When a target column of NVARCHAR has no specified length, MSSQL publishers will now default to NVARCHAR(MAX).
  • We've made various fixes to the foreign schema functionality in Data Lake.
  • The support for refreshing view definitions in Data Lake has been significantly improved.
