• Reverse auctions allow buyers to share their material needs with the Matium Network in an open setting where all bidders see the lowest qualified offer price.
• Bidders can browse live reverse auctions and submit their material offers by clicking on Demand in the left sidebar and then the Reverse Auction tab.
• Reverse auctions will be added regularly so check back often to see the latest.

Updated Navigation

We've made a few changes to the navigation within Matium.

• Offers has been renamed Supply and is your place to find all material lots for sale, including vetted materials being shared publicly, private offers from your network links, and live auctions you've been invited to.
• Requests has been renamed to Demand and is your place to find requests shared by trusted buyers - with reverse auctions coming soon!
• Track all of your open negotiations by visiting the Negotiations tab under Supply.

Auctions are Live!

• Suppliers can invite trusted buyers in their network to bid on a material lot with the lot going to the highest bidder.
• All bidders see the leading bid and get real-time updates while the auction is live.
• Reach out to us at market@matium.com to host your own auction.

Additional Improvements

• When you respond to a request with a material offer, you will now see the material match rating between your offer and the buyer's request.
• Owners of a request will now see a list of all offers sent in response to their request on the request detail page, along with the material match rating.

Expanded Freight Options

Matium has partnered with a set of select, trusted freight partners to bring you the best experience for booking freight! Receive instant freight quotes from each of our partners and then book with a single click.

• Visit Freight in the left sidebar, enter a pickup location, delivery location and pickup date & time.
• Receive instant quotes from all of Matium's partners.
• Simply click Book Freight and a representative from the selected partner will reach out to confirm the lane details, usually within 30-60 minutes during business hours.
• Matium currently supports instant quotes for FTL dry van shipments throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Public Offers (Beta)

Buy and sell with the entire Matium Network!

• Materials from vetted suppliers are now being shared with the entire Matium Network.
• Buyers can bid on a public offer and then negotiate with the seller on price and terms.
• Visit the Offers page to view all public offers along with any private offers that have been sent directly to your company.
• Find all of your bids under the Negotiations tab.

Important notes:

• Offers are not final until accepted by the buyer and then confirmed by the seller.
• Buyers may be asked to complete a credit application. This is to facilitate payments and insure transactions on the platform.

Sellers can contact the Matium Market Team at market@matium.com to create a public listing.

Additional Improvements

• The full Pickup or Delivery Address (depending on Shipping Terms) is now being shown on the offer detail page when an offer is confirmed.
• An alignment issue has been resolved when generating a packing list for a shipment.
• A bug preventing Core users from creating a single Purchase Order for a Have Group has been resolved.

Public Requests (Beta)

Buy and sell with the entire Matium Network!

• Suppliers can now browse requests that have been shared with the entire Matium Network and submit one or more material offers to fulfill a need.
• Visit the Requests page to view all public requests along with any private requests that have been sent directly to your company.
• Any offers that are submitted will be shown on your Offers page and you will be notified if your offer is accepted, countered or declined.
• Note that all accepted offers must be confirmed by the supplier.

Buyers should contact the Matium Support Team at market@matium.com to create a public listing.

Touchpoints for Companies

Managing your customer relationships just got easier! Core users can now log touchpoints, or interactions, with their customers.

• Navigate to a company detail page to view last touch date, next touch date and the most recent touchpoint notes.
• Click Add to capture notes about a new customer interaction.
• Click View All to view all touchpoints for the customer.

Management Reports

All administrators subscribed to Matium Core will start receiving weekly management reports, providing unique insights into your business on Matium!

• The Leaderboard lists your top rep, top material, top buyer and top supplier for the last week.
• Last Week's Activity breaks down key metrics for new offers, haves, needs, orders and delivered shipments.
• Detailed activity by rep, material and company for the last week will be delivered as CSV attachments.
• To opt out of the emails, visit your Personal Settings and uncheck Management Reports under Reports.

Enhancements to Requests

Responding to Network Requests with a new material offer just got a whole lot easier!

• Responding to a request now sends a private offer directly to the buyer in a single step.
• Any offers sent in response to a request will be shown on the Request Detail Page under "My Sent Offers" with the current status of each.
• For any offer sent in response to a request, the request will be shown in the header on the Request Detail Page.

Share documents when sending material requests, find new companies to link with in the Directory with the help of suggested links and more!

Documents on Requests

Buyers can now attach documents to their requests, allowing you to share images, RFQs, etc. about the material you are looking to buy.

• When creating a new Request, attach documents or images that will be shared with all companies you send the request to.
• To share additional documents with just a single company, visit the Documents tab on a Request detail page.
• Receivers of requests can visit the Documents tab on the Request detail page to view all of the documents shared by the buyer.
• Note: While all companies can receive requests, only companies subscribed to Matium Core can send requests to their Network. To update your subscription status, Administrators can visit the Billing area under Administration in the left sidebar.

Suggested Links

The Directory now shows suggested links. Companies will be suggested if they have similar material profiles, locations close to you or are linked with similar companies.

• Update your company's public profile with a complete list of materials you buy and sell and all company locations to get the most relevant suggestions.
• Link up with others to increase the chances that your company will be suggested!

QBO Support for non-U.S. Companies

Matium now supports integrating with QuickBooks Online systems in regions outside the United States.

We have two exciting updates to the Matium Network - Documents on Offers and Conversations on Requests. Get all of the information you need directly from suppliers and buyers when purchasing materials on Matium.

Documents on Offers

Suppliers can now attach documents to their offers, allowing you to share additional images, data sheets, etc. about the material lot you are selling.

• When creating a new Offer, attach documents or images that will be shared with all companies you send this material lot to.
• To share additional documents with just a single company, visit the Documents tab on an Offer detail page.
• Receivers of offers can also visit the Documents tab on the Offer detail page to view all of the documents shared by the supplier.

Conversations on Requests

All users can now converse directly with the owner of a material request on the platform.

• On a Request detail page, go to "Conversation' in the bottom right to send and receive messages about a material request.

Commission Tracking

Core users can now track commissions on shipments - based on a fixed amount or a percentage of gross profit, material cost or material sale.

• Visit the Finance tab on a Shipment detail page to enter commissions and mark as paid.
• View the net profit for the shipment taking all commissions into account.

Company Touchpoints

Utilizing Matium as a CRM for your materials business just got easier. Track your last touch with a customer and your scheduled next touch - then sort on either one to identify which customers need your attention.

• Company cards now show last touch and next touch dates. Sort on either field.
• Next touch will turn red when the date has passed.
• Visit a Company detail page to update last touch and next touch dates.
• Coming soon...call notes and history for touchpoints.

Support for International Company Locations

• Matium Core now supports international company locations.
