We're thrilled to share a range of enhancements we've implemented for Dynamic Pages and Internal Collections. These updates introduce capabilities like linking to dynamic pages, reordering collection columns, duplicating collections, managing row visibility, and more.

A Quick Recap on Collections and Dynamic Pages

Collections serve as the fundamental building blocks for crafting websites with multiple pages that maintain the same layout and design but vary in content. Whether it's real estate listings, team pages, recipes, or catalog items, collections are datasets stored within the Content Library. These datasets enable the creation of Dynamic Pages, a feature that drastically accelerates the process of generating and updating multiple pages in one go. Collections can be internal or external, with External Collections accessible through the Custom plan via API integration.

Bringing It All Together

Consider an example where you're constructing a cooking website featuring numerous recipes. All recipe pages share identical layout and structure, differing only in the actual recipe content. Each row within your connected collection signifies a unique recipe with its dedicated Dynamic page. Whenever alterations are made to your internal collection, the corresponding Dynamic page is automatically updated.

New Advancements in Collections and Dynamic Pages

Let's delve into the updates we've introduced to Collections and Dynamic Pages:

  1. Link to Dynamic Pages: You can now establish links to specific Dynamic or store pages in the native store (be it a product or category). When utilizing the link picker, you'll notice a fresh addition - "Dynamic or Store page." Select your collection and the relevant item to seamlessly set up the link. This feature can be employed anywhere in the platform that supports linking, including navigation creation.
  2. Enhanced Collection Management and Editing: The Content Library now empowers you to swiftly edit Collections. Drag and drop columns to reorder them, easily duplicate the entire Collection, and replicate rows with ease.
  3. Show or Hide Collection Rows: The ability to set Collection rows as "Show" or "Hide" is now at your disposal. This allows effortless management of the visibility of specific Dynamic Pages on your website. For instance, in a real estate listing site, temporarily hiding a property that's under contract is a breeze. Instead of deleting the row, simply set it to "Hide." Reverting to "Show" can be done just as easily.

These visibility settings extend to both Dynamic Pages and repeater widgets such as Photo Galleries, Accordions, Lists, and more.

We've also raised the Collection row limit to 500, ensuring you have ample capacity to construct dataset-driven websites for your clients.
