Shared by Sam • April 18, 2024

We're thrilled to bring you a revolutionary change in ShuttlerockCloud and the way you work with us - Managed Service Briefing.

You already know our Brief Assistant, and this takes it one step further - allowing you to fill out as much or as little of the brief as you like, before passing it over to us to take care of the rest for you.

It's easy as 1, 2, 3.

  1. Fill out as much of the brief as you can.
  2. Add project notes to give us further context and/or information around the brief you're submitting.
  3. Submit it to our team for review. We'll take it from here!

If there's anything further we need from you, we'll reach out and let you know.

Head over to the article at the link below for more details on Managed Service Briefing.

That's all for today! As always, please reach out if you need support or have any questions about these updates.

Here's all of the details on the latest updates to SRC - read on for all of the goodness!

Briefing Updates

Modular Briefing

The all-new modular briefing design shows you everything you need, and nothing you don’t.

With the brief now split up into clear and distinct sections, you’ll only see the sections of the brief which are required for you to fill out.

If you’d like to add more detail and give us more information, you can do so by clicking the “+ Add more” button at the bottom of the brief, and adding the relevant modules for the details you’d like to add.

Review & Delivery Updates

New refreshed UI for Creative page

We've completely overhauled our Creative page, with a redesigned UI to help organise and sort your creatives into logical groups, aiding with your review workflow.

Introducing built-in grouping to make creative easier to find and navigate between - especially useful for big multi-concept/multi-variation projects with large numbers of deliverables.

You now have the following views available:

  • Concepts - one tile for each concept in the project, with all creatives in each tile "grouped" behind it. Great for an overview of your project.
  • All Creative - shows all creative in your project, organised by concepts and variations.
  • Concept view - a focused view of all creative in a single concept, grouped into variations if they exist.

Some further benefits:

  • You can now easily share a link to all creative in just a single concept or variation, by navigating to the relevant view and copy/pasting the URL from the search bar in your browser.
  • There's now multiple places you can create a variation from, saving you time.
  • You can now set/tag variations with a specific language.

Structured Downloads

Enjoy a new export experience with Structured Downloads, with all final deliverables in your project now organised inside a .zip file, into clearly named, nested folders, sorted by concepts and then variations within - see an example of the folder structure below:

More pieces

Deliverables Counter in the Project Tracker

  • We've fixed and fine-tuned the "Deliverables" column in the project tracker, to ensure accuracy and reliability moving forward.
  • They're now fully dynamic and take into account factors like deliverables that are still to come in the project, as well as actual (approved/delivered) deliverables.
  • This means the number will update and stay accurate automatically throughout the lifecycle of a project, including when variations are added later in the project.

Changes to automatic completion/archival of inactive projects

  • Previously, only inactive projects that were in the final production stage could be completed, and all others would be archived.
  • Now, inactive projects at any production stage will be completed rather than archived, so long as they contain creatives that have been delivered for review.

Performance Improvements

  • We've optimized some behind-the-scenes tech in the delivery & review space to enable faster page loading and general improved responsiveness.
  • Watch this space as we continue to seek out more places we can improve performance! 👀

Duration Display Refinements

  • We've made some changes to the language conventions we use to display durations in different places throughout ShuttlerockCloud - the long and the short of it being that we'll now show you the duration of creative in the most relevant and contextual form, depending on where you are in SRC.

That's all, folks! Keep an eye out for the next update coming to you soon!

What's New - Q1 Roundup

Shared by Sam • March 12, 2024

Here's your roundup for all of the most recent updates to ShuttlerockCloud released in Q1 - grab yourself a coffee and settle in for a great read!

New UI experience for Briefing

Overview Panel

We've done away with the whole project overview page, introducing a flash new sidebar giving you an overview of your whole project at a glance, and streamlining the whole briefing experience - no more jumping back and forth between the overview page and concept pages!

The overview panel will serve you for concept navigation and creation - as well as accessing your brand profile.

These changes have a few other flow-on effects:

  • The "Product & Service" question that used to sit at the project level will now be asked for each concept, giving you even more flexibility for your projects.
  • The "Primary language" question has been removed, and you can now have different languages for each concept in a project, rather than being limited to one language for the whole project - more on this further on 👀
  • The "Order Details" button which used to sit in the top left-hand side of the brief has moved to the new Utilities panel on the right-hand side of the project view, and is now called "Summary".

Utilities Panel

A very handy new addition to our Project View - the Utilities Panel lives in the Brief and Creative pages for all projects.

Summary and Support will be available for all users, always, and Assistant will be available when a brief was created using the Brief Assistant.

  • Assistant will open the Brief Assistant modal, allowing you to access your brief input for reference (if you've already submitted your brief). If you're still working on your brief, then this is where you'll be able to edit the input and regenerate your brief if you're not 100% happy with the output of the Brief Assistant.
  • Summary is the new name and location for the old "Order Details" button - giving you an overview of all key details for your whole project.
  • Support will open a chat window with our support team, giving you even easier and faster access to help when you need it.

Language Updates for projects

As mentioned further up, the "Primary language" question has been removed from briefing, and you can now have different languages for each concept in a project, rather than being limited to one language for the whole project.

The language for each concept in a project will be now be automatically detected based on the language of the text that you input into the Copy and Concept Idea fields.

If a language is ever detected incorrectly, reach out to your Shuttlerock rep and we can have it manually updated in a flash!

More small pieces

Audience updates

  • When creating a brief with our Brief Assistant, your default audience will automatically be assigned to all concepts in the project, which you can then change if you wish.
  • When you duplicate a concept, the audience will now also be copied over (previously the duplicated concept would be assigned your default audience).
  • If you create a new audience from within a concept, that new audience will automatically be assigned to the concept - if you haven't already selected an audience for the concept.

Review updates

  • NEW dark mode for the Creative page, aligning the UI across both the Creative and Review pages for a more cohesive experience.
  • You can now Submit your variations from the review page, via the new "Submit" button in the review panel.
  • Significant speed performance improvements have been made when navigating between different creatives while reviewing, saving time for all!
  • Variations are now eligible for our QuickFix service, saving even more time on variations which qualify for QuickFix.

That's all, folks! Keep an eye out for the next update coming in hot on the heels of this one 👀

Coming very soon is an all-new modular briefing experience, which will change the way you brief for good - we can't wait to share it with you.

What's New - Review Page Navigation Panel

Sam avatar
Shared by Sam • February 02, 2024

With our new review page navigation experience (which we've fondly dubbed the "review panel"), you can now see all deliverables requiring your review and attention at a glance - all in the side-panel!

See which deliverables are approved, have revisions added, and are yet to review, all organized to help you prioritize your review workflow.

You now have a summarized view of all deliverables in your project, organised by concept name and number, with the following information easily accessible:

  • Platform
  • Format
  • Duration
  • Language
  • Revision status and quantity
  • Approval status

And with the new clear CTA button at the bottom, you can now approve your ads or submit your revisions, right from the review page!

*Please note: the ability to add variations hasn't quite been built into the review panel just yet, but will be coming very soon! So continue to add variations from the delivery page for now as you're used to.

Check it out when you're next on the review page 👀

What's New - Project Access Management

Sam avatar
Shared by Sam • January 29, 2024

We’re excited to be introducing new layers of control into ShuttlerockCloud, enabling you to choose who can access your projects - enhancing security and accessibility for all.

In the “Share” settings for each project, we’ve split out the options into two sections:

Project Notifications - controls who in your team will receive email notifications about the project.

Project Access - controls who can access your project, through pages such as the delivery page and the review & revision page.

When it comes to Project Access, there's two options:

  • Private - only team members with access to the brand that the project is under.
  • Anyone with the link - anyone who is given the URL can access the project.

Important to note:

  • Project Access will be set to private by default for all new projects.
  • All existing projects have also been set to private with the release of these changes.
  • Project Access can be updated at any time - both during production and after project completion.

What's New - Variations Expansion

Sam avatar
Shared by Sam • January 17, 2024

We're very excited to bring to you today the announcement that variations are now available for all projects! Including old projects and those with Copy Variations and/or Translations.

Previously projects like these were incompatible with our Variations feature - however thanks to a large piece of behind-the-scenes work, this is now possible.

The Variations feature has many benefits:

  • Streamlined workflow - Bypass the re-briefing process, resulting in significant time reductions.
  • Flexibility - Iterate and experiment with your creative content at any time after approval to test and improve performance.
  • Organization - Keep all deliverables and their variations contained within one project.

If you haven't already - try out Variations on your next project!

Shared by Sam • January 10, 2024

Happy 2024 from Shuttlerock! 🎉

Kicking things off with a bang, we've got a few enhancements to Briefing to share with you.

Brief Assistant

We've added support for rich text formatting and AI writing tools to the text field for Brief Assistant.

Any rich text formatting used in this field will be preserved by the brief assistant and reflected in the final brief once it's generated, and the AI writing tools will work as they do in the rest of the brief - saving time and energy!

Briefing Enhancements

We've added an icon to the toolbar in the rich text fields for inserting images, to make sure you don't miss this handy new feature!

That's all for today! Check out these updates when briefing in your next project

What's New - Global Project Navigation and Briefing Enhancements

Sam avatar
Shared by Sam • December 20, 2023

As the year draws to a close, we're celebrating with one final goody-bag of features for you! Read on to discover the presents wrapped up in this release 🎁

Global Project Navigation

Seamlessly move between Brief, Creative delivery and Review pages when you're head-down in project mode.

This new simplified and focused navigation will make it far easier to move around within the context of a project, speeding up the briefing and review process.

We're calling this new UX the "Project view".

Briefing Enhancements

In a two-part feature addition, we've introduced the following capabilities to the larger text fields in the brief:

  • In-line file uploading
  • AI writing tools

In-line file uploading gives users the ability to copy/paste screenshots and images, and drag+drop other files into text fields in the brief. Provide visual references to text, elaborate on assets you've uploaded, the possibilities are endless!

AI writing tools gives you the ability to harness the power of a virtual assistant and ward off that pesky writers block! With options like complete, expand and optimise, take the load off of your briefing and let AI do the heavy lifting for you.

Updated Signed-out View

Last, but most certainly not least! We've introduced a new header to make it abundantly clear if you happen to be logged out when using SRC, in order to alleviate any access issues you may have when trying to complete an action and being inadvertently signed out of your account at the time.

That's all from Shuttlerock for 2023! Have a wonderful holiday season and we'll catch you on the other side 👋🏼

What's New - Timestamp Ranges and Shape Annotations

Sam avatar
Shared by Sam • December 12, 2023

Season's greetings! 🎉

We've been hard at work on a suite of new features for our review & revision flow, and couldn't be more excited to be sharing these handy new tools with you today.

Timestamp Ranges ↔️

Have a revision that applies across a section of video rather than just a single point? Now you can set a start and end timestamp for revisions!

You can also still apply the revision to the whole duration of your video, or a specific frame - whichever is most relevant to your changes.

Shape Annotations 🔳

Adding on to the existing freeform annotation tool, we've introduced the following common shapes to use as well - with all of the same line weight and colour options you're used to:

  • Boxes
  • Lines
  • Arrows

Once drawn, you can move, re-size, delete, and undo or redo any of these changes as needed - annotations galore!

Check out these new features when revising your next deliverable!
