Hi Friend,
Youâve been asking for it, and now itâs here!
From now on, you can make your demos more accessible and offer another layer of personalization by adding an audio file to your guideâs steps.
Ideas for how you can use the Audio On Guides feature:
Add an audio file to a specific guide step
Have something specific youâd like to highlight? Want to use short text and direct your viewers to listen to additional information? In addition to the written instructions, you can upload an audio file to enrich the text on the guide.
Make your embedded website demo more accessible
Add audio files to the demo on your website to meet accessibility requirements. Let people choose how they consume the content based on their individual needs.
Include audio in your entire demo and automatically play it
Add audio files to every step of your demo that will be played automatically when someone views it. You can set the audio file to âAutoplayâ once a user gets to this step without triggering it by clicking âPlayâ.
How can you use this feature? Itâs simple! In your guideâs settings in the Editor, click the plus button that will allow you to upload an audio file.

Hi Friend,
Introducing our new âDemo Permissionsâ feature that allows you to control who can access, view, or customize your demo link, regardless of the demo template permissions.
Until now, permission to access and change a demoâs settings was automatically granted based on the templateâs permissions. This cluttered the Demo Library because every link generated from a template was visible to the whole team, regardless of the relevance.
Now, youâll be able to keep your demos private or make them public to everyone on the team.
How does the new feature benefit you?
FYI
From now on, any new demo link thatâs generated from a template will be private by default and access to it needs to be proactively given.
In addition, the permissions for the existing demos that your team is already using will remain the same.

Hi Friend,
Up until now, Creators had to spend a lot of editing time manually linking between all screens and their elements to make demos responsive and feel like the real product.
Say no more!
Now, all screens and elements you capture will be automatically linked to each other right after you finish capturing them. It will also work on any screens you add or remove from your existing templates. That way, you can easily maintain your already used templates and demos.
To give you full control over the links in your templates, thatâs where Dynamic Linking comes into play! You can easily change the settings and switch between 3 modes:
How to use it:
1. Start capturing your productâs screens using the extension on âContinuous Captureâ mode or âSingle Captureâ.
2. Go back to the Editor and youâll see that by default, all identified links are automatically linked.
3. If youâd like to change the logic of how the links are applied, go to your templateâs settings and choose from automatically linking, only clicked-path links, or no automated links at all, and save the changes.
FYI - For Dynamic Linking, there is a 250 link limit. However, once this limit is surpassed, manual links can still be added.

Hi Friend,
Our main mission in life is to make sure youâre getting the most out of Walnut.
And thatâs exactly what the new demo customization flow will empower you to do, by improving the handoff between editors & sellers!
Up until now, sellers couldnât easily leverage all of Walnutâs capabilities.
In addition, it was up to editors to not only create and edit demo templates, but also publish them.
Now, editors will have a new way to share demo templates to give sellers one consolidated place to preview the template, personalize it with variables, allow prospects to add comments, connect it to their CRM, and share the link with prospects. All with the peace of mind that the demoâs narrative wonât be changed.

Hi Friend,
Keep your demos updated with your evolving product by replacing existing screens with newly captured screens.
The best part? You donât need to re-add guides, Variables, or links, and edit all over again. Simply recapture your screen using the âUpdate screenâ method and voila! Everything will be automatically added to your newly updated screen.
